About The Doctor

Dr. Tobin Rummel, Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon at Crossroads Premiere Healthcare in Corvallis, Oregon.

Dr. Tobin Rummel is an Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he grew up in Trout Lake, Wash., and completed undergraduate training at George Fox University in Newberg. His medical degree is from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, Calif.

After completing medical school training in 2010, which included a pre-doctoral teaching fellowship in manipulative medicine, Dr. Rummel returned to Corvallis for to complete an internship and family practice residency through Samaritan Health Services. He was Chief Resident upon completion.

Dr. Rummel intends to complete additional sub-specialty training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM) and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). He wants to provide a holistic approach to his patients in a NMM/OMT practice, which make him an excellent fit with the care team at Crossroads Premiere Health Care. He is currently using his teaching experience by helping train local medical students.

Dr. Rummel enjoys applying the Osteopathic Philosophy in treating patients who have complex medical problems. He uses osteopathic manipulation to allow return of function in areas often overlooked by other providers, especially in patients who have had trauma — either physical or emotional. Dr. Rummel additionally loves working with athletes of all ages and activities to optimize musculoskeletal function while minimizing dysfunction/pain so that his patients can enjoy using their bodies to their fullest potential.

Other special interests include:
  • Post injury care
  • Abdominal problems
  • Sports injury
  • Pregnant women
  • Newborn & Pediatric issues
  • Behavioral disorders

Dr. Rummel lives with his wife, Christy, in Corvallis. They enjoy spending time with friends and family in Corvallis, Trout Lake, Bend, Salem or anywhere that travels take them. This often includes activities like: biking, hiking/backpacking, rock-climbing, mountain climbing, running, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, fishing and kayaking in their free time (can you tell they were outdoor adventure guides in the past?).
